The Trent Bosch Total Access Hollowing Tools are simply the best hollowing tools available. Let us tell you why: Designed by a woodturner for woodturners, not by a manufacturer who has never used a lathe before. Narrow profile of the tool near the tip provides superior clearance and control. You can also hollow longer before needing to clear the shavings out speeding up the process. In other words you have Total Access to the wood your cutting. No swivel tips to get in the way, no set screws to strip out, tips are easily replaced. All bent tools are not created equally. Our bent hollowing tools are designed so that the cutter is located on center with the shaft of the tool. This eliminates the rotary torque often associated with the hollowing process as long as you keep the tool rest behind the bent part of the tool. The 3/4″ tools are suited to hollow up to approximately 12″ deep depending on the users skill level. Trent uses these tools to teach the hollowing process to hundreds of students each year. Each tool is hand made in our facility in Fort Collins Colorado USA.

I purchased this to remove the bulk or the interior of a hollow form. I tilt the tip of the tool slightly downward and take very gentle cuts. It removes wood very quickly, with almost no catches. I use it with Trent’s Stabilizer and Visualizer. What a pleasure to use.

Once again, I had difficulty on some of my hollow forms at the top so I ordered the extreme bent tool. It solved the problem. If I had looked more carefully around my shop, I would’ve seen that I already had one. Oh well, it is sure to happen again and I will be thrilled I have a replacement. I love all of The Trent Bosch tools. That makes the fun that I’m already having be even more fun, if that’s possible. Tina
