Love it! I think I need some classes with Mr. Bosch. That would make my work better and easier

Trent makes fantastic tools. This tool introduced me to his take on the Ellsworth grind, which is great for inside the bowl. Also appreciate the responsiveness to questions!

I didn’t know what was missing with the longer handled tools! I like that the length of the flute is longer too. Lots of life in this guy.
There are others, yea sure, but Trent has always personally responded to my questions. Often with patient detailed messages.
I also used the Bosch bevel to re-calibrate my sharpening system.

This is the 2nd 5/8″ bowl gouge that I’ve used. A++

I use the 5/8″ Swept back bowl gouge for taking large amount of material out and at times for fine work. It has been exceptional and a better turning experience than my current 5/8″ bowl gouge and seems to stay sharper longer. The finish shows less tool marks which saves time. The performance is greatly enhanced by the 24″ handle, for which I will comment below. I visited the Trent Manufacturing shop in Ft. Collins to pick up my tools. I have had difficulty sharpening my existing bowl gouges and Laurent took me into their teaching shop and showed me their troubleshooting guide for sharpening which when I returned to my shop implemented the suggestions, completely solved my issues. I purchased their machined stops that clamp on to the exact spot on the bar of the One-Way jig which has worked wonders for hitting the exact angle I want to sharping my tools every time. It helps significantly that the gouges detach from the handle which makes the sharpening easier and more efficient. Trent gave me a tour of the shop which was impressive since I am a manufacturing person.
