Our Super Tool Handles hold your turning tools securely while also providing a comfortable grip and superior tool control.
Super strong 6061 aluminum is anodized and color coded for quick tool selection. Rubber tubing is added for comfort (no more cold handles).
Designed to be used with most turning tools (just remove the old handle). The Blue Handle has a 1/2″ bore. Pair with our Super Tool Handle Inserts to reduce bore size.
Tool is secured using two 5/16 x 18 tpi x 5/16″ long set screws. Adjusted with a 5/32″ (4mm) wrench, like our Super Allen Wrench.
Handles are light weight, reducing vibration and fatigue. If desired shot can be added to achieve your desired weight

I use the 16″ handle for the 1/2″ swept back bowl gouge on smaller projects or at the beginning of larger projects. The handle provides excellent support and a firm anchor for turning. The lathe on which I do smaller projects is a midi lathe and the handle provides the stability to reach around the bowl to carve out the center. Good to have the confidence I can carve out the center and follow the outside curve of the bowl without looking into the bowl.
