We are super happy to be able to offer gun drills. A gun drill is one of Trent’s go to tools. It is useful for starting a hole in a hollow form or long bores in any project (such as a lamp). These gun drills are specifically designed with woodturners in mind – get yours today!
Available in a set (Gun Drill with Handle) or you can purchase the handle on it’s own and source your own gun drill.
The Gun Drill: Brand NEW and perfect for use in wood. Carbide tipped, 3/8″ Drill with a 3/4″ shank, 12″ long. Comes with TWO Gun Drill Stoppers.
The Handle: Designed to be used with most standard gun drills that have a 3/4″ shank (which is standard). This handle adapts those gun drills to be used by hand. It has a 3/4″ bore and on the backside of the handle is tapped for 1/4″ female NPT. I attach a ball valve and my air compressor quick connect fitting to the back of my handle. (COLOR OF HANDLE MAY VARY)
Additional Information about the Set: The set comes complete with mini ball valve to turn it on and off. It has a female 1/4″ npt so you can attach any style compressor quick change. The set also comes complete with TWO Gun Drill Stoppers.

I have found that Trent provides great tools that work. The Gun Drill centers easily and does it’s job perfectly. If is spins on the lathe, I can hit a hole and go as deep as I want to go. Trent’s gouges are also excellent. I like the shape of the flute and the depth of the wings I get on a long grind. No question about the quality from Trent.
