Gun Drill

(8 customer reviews)

We are super happy to be able to offer gun drills. A gun drill is one of Trent’s go to tools. It is useful for starting a hole in a hollow form or long bores in any project (such as a lamp). These gun drills are specifically designed with woodturners in mind – get yours today!

Available in a set (Gun Drill with Handle) or individually.

The Gun Drill: Brand NEW and perfect for use in wood. Carbide tipped, 3/8″ Drill with a 3/4″ shank, 12″ long. Comes with TWO Gun Drill Stoppers.

The Handle: Designed to be used with most standard gun drills that have a 3/4″ shank (which is standard). This handle adapts those gun drills to be used by hand. It has a 3/4″ bore and on the backside of the handle is tapped for 1/4″ female NPT. I attach a ball valve and my air compressor quick connect fitting to the back of my handle. (COLOR OF HANDLE MAY VARY)

Additional Information about the Set: The set comes complete with mini ball valve to turn it on and off. It has a female 1/4″ npt so you can attach any style compressor quick change. The set also comes complete with TWO Gun Drill Stoppers.

  1. Alan (verified owner)

Saw this used in one of Trent’s videos. Combined with a gun drill bit this is an effective tool.

  2. Anonymous (verified owner)

Wanted one of these since I took Trent’s workshop — quality tool!

  3. JoAnn (verified owner)

Works like a charm, just as described.

  4. John McCarty (verified owner)

Before the gun drill, I was starting my hollow forms with a drill bit in the tail stock. This is so much easier!

  5. Ric Meister (verified owner)

Really the tool I didn’t realize could be better than a standard auger drill. Paired with compressed air it’s also handy for cleaning of my lathe bed and floor.
Again Trent dreams it and makes it happen!!

  6. Joseph Woodard (verified owner)

You handled the business professionally which is getting rarer.

  7. Phil Hall (verified owner)

Neat tool. Hard to find elsewhere.

  8. Barry Popick (verified owner)

Tool looks well made. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to use it yet
